As part of PANTHERx®’s commitment to our value of “Authentic Dedication,” we are proud to announce that we are sponsoring the first annual “Hole” Lot of Heart Golf Outing at the Blackhawk Golf Course in Chippewa, Pennsylvania. This event is benefitting The Children’s Heart Foundation, a charity dedicating to funding research to combat congenital heart defects.
About Congenital Heart Defects
Congenital heart defects are incredibly common and incredibly deadly. Every year, around 40,000 children are born with congenital heart defects, and even worse, 100-200 deaths occur from unrecognized heart disease. Those totals do not even include the children that die before diagnosis. For those that survive with the condition, 25% will require heart surgery or other serious medical treatments. Congenital heart defects are life-long conditions, impacting growth and development.
While research has helped advance treatment of congenital heart defects to allow more to survive through adolescence and onto adulthood, science has still failed to fully understand the cause of the condition. Moreover, advancements in treatment are needed to allow for more of the afflicted to live healthy and normal lives.
About the Children’s Heart Foundation
